        • Subjektivnost, objektivnost in intersubjektivnost.
        • Diskutiranje in pogovarjanje; dve obliki komuniciranja glede na odnos do subjektivnosti/ objektivnosti.
        • Etos raziskovanja.
        • Raziskovanje namesto pomoči, raziskovanje kot pomoč.
        • Postavitev raziskovalne namere in vzpostavitev zaupanja.
        • Spraševanje kot osnovni akt raziskovanja; iskrena vprašanja.
        • Možnosti vprašanj in pozicije poizvedovanja.
        • Spontani tok razpiranja izkustva in razblinjanje odporov.

        Praksa raziskovalnega pogovarjanja

        Ustvarjanje prostora:

        • Prepoznavanje in odpravljanje načinov odzivanja, ki ožajo oziroma zapirajo medosebni doživljajski prostor: različne oblike vrednotenja, neupravičeno predpostavljanje skupne resničnosti, svetovanje, pojasnjevanje, interpretiranje.
        • Usvajanje načinov odzivanja, ki medosebni doživljajski prostor odpirajo: iskrena vprašanja (vprašanja brez skritega motiva sporočanja oziroma prepričevanja) ter empatično “ostajanje z” (ostajanje s klientovim doživljanjem takšnim, kot je, brez poskusov vplivanja nanj).
        • Razvijanje sposobnosti “dajanja v oklepaj” (vzpostavljanja distance do resničnosti) – tako lastnih prepričanj, vrednot in pričakovanj kot tudi povedanega s strani klienta.

        Poglabljanje raziskovanja:

        • Prepoznavanje raziskovalno plodnih točk v povedanem – kaj iz povedanega izbrati za nadaljevanje raziskovanja in česa ne.
        • Prepoznavanje pripravljenosti druge osebe za odpiranje novega področja doživljanja;
        • Prepoznavanje priložnosti za zastavljanje intimnejših vprašanj.
        • Prepoznavanje smeri toka pogovora in možnosti ter primernosti vplivanja nanj.
        • Vzporejanje povedanega z namenom odpiranja novih področij doživljanja.
        • Prepoznavanje pomembnih izpustitev v povedanem ter primernih trenutkov za povpraševanje po njih.
        • Uglaševanje na trenutno čustveno in vitalnostno raven klienta z možnostjo vplivanja nanjo.
        • Usvajanje in širjenje klientovega besednjaka.
        • Usvajanje in pomoč pri ozaveščanju klientovih implicitnih teorij
