Join a second year of two -year professional training program that will provide you with theoretical and practical knowledge for safe and effective counseling and therapeutic support for clients experiencing non-ordinary states of consciousness (NOSC). The program covers preparation for NOSC experiences, integration techniques, and addressing spiritual crises that lead to psychological growth and mental well-being. This training offers the opportunity for deep personal work and building a community of professionals committed to safe and responsible work in the field of NOSC.

Dear participants,

We are pleased to invite you to enroll in the second year of the training program Supportive Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Work with Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness.

The second year is open to participants who have completed the first year of our training, as well as to applicants who have completed a comparable study program and have acquired appropriate theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of transpersonal psychology and therapies involving non-ordinary states of consciousness, equivalent to the knowledge and competencies offered in the first year of our training.

The first year was dedicated to establishing the foundations: understanding non-ordinary states of consciousness, creating a safe framework, preparation and integration, working with spiritual emergency, and reducing risks. The second year is designed as a distinctly practical continuation. Its aim is to help the knowledge you have already acquired gradually become stable, ethically clear, and repeatable competencies for supporting people before, during, and after experiences in non-ordinary states of consciousness.

In the second year, the emphasis will be on how to hold space in real situations: how to recognize the client’s state, how to remain regulated during an intense process, and how to choose a minimal but effective intervention. We will learn to explain less and be more fully present; to interpret less and follow the phenomenology of the process more precisely; to direct less and support the natural unfolding of experience more safely.

The second-year program includes four intensive four-day modules, group meetings, group and individual supervision, mentored practice, participation in Holotropic Breathwork workshops or other forms of therapy in non-ordinary states of consciousness, and independent study. Altogether, the second year comprises 489 hours. Upon completion, the entire two-year training program comprises 796 hours.

The main areas of deepening will include:

– holding space in more demanding situations from the perspective of neuro-coaching

– deepening preparation and integration skills

– multidimensional relational fluency with Dr. Regina U. Hess,

– the practice of exploratory conversation with Dr. Matej Černigoj,

– Jungian Shadow work with Tine Papič,

– practical training in facilitator and sitter skills within a safe learning framework.

The second year is intended for those who wish to deepen their work with non-ordinary states of consciousness, moving from understanding into embodied practice. This means developing the capacity to remain calm, clear, ethical, and humanly present in intense processes, while also being precise enough not to take over the process, but to support it.

Applications are open until 10 September.

The introductory meeting is planned for Friday, 2 October, from 17:00 to 19:00. At this meeting, we will present the structure, process, and requirements of the second year. I will also be available to answer any questions you may have regarding the programme.

The first module will take place from 22 to 25 October. As we are still coordinating the schedule with participants and lecturers, the dates of the remaining modules will be announced by the end of June.

Upon successful completion of the training, participants receive a certificate from SFU Ljubljana confirming their participation in the program Supportive Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Work with Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness, including the total number of completed hours and confirmation of their training for the role of sitter/facilitator in therapies involving non-ordinary states of consciousness, in accordance with the ethical and clinical guidelines of the program.

Warmly,
